Emergency Medicine Application Process

All applicants must apply through ERAS. https://www.aamc.org/services/eras/

For PGY1 applicants, the Sunrise Health GME Consortium program in Emergency Medicine requires:

  • Personal statement
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Medical School transcripts
  • USMLE or COMLEX transcripts
  • ECFMG certification for IMG applicants http://www.ecfmg.org
  • Dean’s letter (MSPE) http://www.ecfmg.org/eras/applicants-documents-mspe.html
  • Three letters of recommendation (It is suggested at least one from an emergency medicine residency faculty member)
  • Suggest at least one from an emergency medicine residency faculty member
  • Photograph

For advanced year residents, the Sunrise Health GME Consortium program in Emergency Medicine, in addition to the above requirements, also requires:

  • Milestones evaluations for all prior years of training
  • Completed rotations for all prior years of training
  • Procedure logs from all prior years of training
